Horsethief Hideout

MissVelocity Harley Davidson Horsethief Hideout campgroud

Just outside Invermere, tucked in under a cliff of hoodoos hides Horsethief Hideout. It’s a fully proper moto-camping experience and a great place to pitch a tent and use as a basecamp.

Horsethief Hideout has been a privately owned ranch since the early 1980’s. It is owned, was created, and is currently operated by it’s visionary Gary Oja, and is situated 4.8 km north of Wilmer BC Canada on the Westside Road, just outside of Invermere BC Canada

The ranch sits between the Canadian Rocky Mountains and the Purcell Range, next to the Horsethief Creek, with views of the amazing mountains and the nearby hoodoos.

It’s a fabulous venue for special events such as weddings, family reunions, artist retreats, business conferences, etc,  and can host hunters, hikers, sledders, skiers and fishermen depending on the season. It is also widely known for the Annual Memorial Motorcycle Rally that takes place every year in July since it began in 2002,.

The venue features on site camping (no service) facilities, hot showers, an old fashioned saloon, a dance hall, a replica of a fort with a jail and a stage that has hosted a multitude of very talented and some well known performers.
