Collection: Primus

Primus has made camp stoves since 1892. F.W. Lindqvist and J.V. Svenson started it in Stockholm, Sweden, with the world's first soot-free kerosene stove. The name means "first".

A Primus went to the South Pole with Roald Amundsen in 1911 and up Everest with Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary in 1953. Today it is backpacking stoves, pots, kettles and camp kitchen kit built to cook where there is no kitchen. Primus is in Craig's camp kitchen on the TCAT.
