All about the tent
I’ve used ALOT of tents over the years, and sold even more. After 2 decades in the outdoor industry as a buyer and designer I’ve learnt a few things. Like where money is well spent. I’m past buying something because somebody told me to. But here I am telling you to check this tent out. So….
FEATURES
- Ultralight: Great things can come in small packages! This solo tent is almost the same weight as a bivy sack or a hammock setup. But soooo much easier to put up and use. Literally a few min to put up and you’re done. No messing around…
- Vented: Typically the downfall to single walked tents is they don’t breathe or have adequate ventilation. Because both the door and the wall inside the backside vestibule is mesh, there’s pretty good airflow. Add to that two roof vents that help get things moving.
- Top Tier Materials and Construction: The outer tent and floor are made from Ripstop Sil-nylon coming with a PU4000mm water-resistant & UV 50+ sun protection guarantee. The poles are made with 7001 space aluminum, lightweight and can supports most heaviest wind. Add in 7001 aluminum tent stakes and ultralight reflective guy lines, it doesn’t miss a trick.
- Free Standing: Designed with a “double Y” pole layout, it goes up in a flash. And stays that way, a solid, ridged tent that you can easily move around to find the best spot. It also creates a remarkably roomy interior space with good foot and head room.
- Easy Up: All the poles are connected via two hubs. Super simple. And all the pole sections are short, much easier to pack! And if you forget, the instructions are all sewn inside of the stuff sack.
The Awning
I gotta say, this was an unexpected feature. By unzipping the vestibule door, you can prop it up via two hiking poles, sticks, or string it up to a bike. Gives a little sun or rain protection with maintaining some airflow.
The Design
There’s a lot of little details in the construction of this tent. Like the use of magnets to close the door instead of the traditionally frustrating velcro. No metal zipper pulls to add weight or make noise flapping in the wind.
