Gear Review – Aeropress GO Coffee Maker

Camping stove and mug and aeropress coffee maker on a table in the mountains

Aeropress GO travel coffee maker.

If you know me, you know I LOVE my coffee. And I’ve tried every coffee maker under the sun over the years. And I’ve always struggled with making a good cuppa while camping, but no longer! Been using the Areopress GO as my primary coffee making method at home and away ever since the GO came out over a year ago. And I gotta tell you, I’ll sacrifice an awful lot to be able to bring the Aeropress and some OSO Negro coffee when I travel..

A caffeine addict’s best travel companion

One thing about travelling light and smart on a motorcycle, you have to justify everything you carry. I’ve been carrying a stripped down GO for the last year and it belongs in the permanent gear pile. Light, simple, durable and compact, it literally disapears in the bag. I tend to carry just the plunger, no cup, no lid, no stirrer, no scoop. The hollow plunger hold a ziplock with just enough grounds for 8 cups or so. And I make it right into my insulated bottle. Then go find a nice spot to enjoy it while my brain wakes up. Or make a few shots, screw the cap on and partake later…
