Just the Downloads!

So, here’s how the map works. The massive route is broken up into smaller tracks based on the type of riding surface and difficulty. And colour-coded for your convenience!

D-0 Green is paved
D-1 Blue is smooth unpaved
D-2 Red is Rough Unpaved
D-3 Purple is Spicy, Either more technical or has something on it that may be trickier for some rider/bike combinations.

I’m never going to make assumptions about your skill level or enthusiasm, you know you. Always ride to what you’re comfortable with.

There are waypoints for Camping, fuel, beer, motels, motorcycle shops, food, and cool places to see!!

You can look at it in the windows below, expand it to full screen, and look at it in Google Earth. You can click the button and download the KML file (Google Maps, Google Earth, Gaia). There’s also a button for GPX (Gaia, Garmin, Avenza, basically anything!)

*** IMPORTANT***
Many phones don’t like dealing with these sorts of files very well! I can guarantee you’ll have MUCH better luck downloading the files on a regular computer and adding it through the web browser interface for your app of choice. Then just sync them and you’re good to go!!

So break the downloads into Paved, Gravel, Camping, Fuel, whatever, and add each of them and you’re all set.

The Works!

Yup, this is literally everything! Handy for seeing everything in one place and Google Maps / Earth can handle it all. It’s actually grown too big for a single .GPX file. But you can keep scrolling down and pick an choose what you want to add to your device or app of choice.

All the Routes

Looking at planning a larger ride? A big, multi-day epic? Well, here’s all the routes no matter the surface. Sometimes you need to add that little bit ‘o slab to connect the dirty bits. Or your day may not have gone quite as planned and need to cut a corner to make up time….

Gravel Sections

We all know this is where the fun is. Just download it now and get planning!

Camping - Rec Sites

I’m a camper. I’ve always been a camper. Awesome day rides are great, don’t get me wrong. But seeing the sun set behind a huge mountain, or spending the morning with a coffee next to a stunning lake? Priceless…

Fuel Stations

We need to feed the Beast. Know where you can fill the tank and normally your belly as well…

Points of Interest

Some of these are purely interesting places. Other things like Motorcycle Shops, Hospitals, Visitors Centers, and Micro Breweries are more important to know where they are…

Fire Lookouts

Who doesn’t like a killer view? They put fire towers on the tops of mountains for a reason. But we get to enjoy the view! Some of these locations still have a tower you can climb and really get a good look. Others just have a concrete pad to tell us the history. They can often be a challenge to get to, but always worth it!
